The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, (So-Safe Corps) has arrested a 50-year-old father who allegedly turned his 14-year-old daughter (name withheld) into a sex mate.

The arrest was contained in a press release issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Moruf Yusuf, on Thursday in Abeokuta, the State Capital.

According to the press release, the State Commander of So-Safe Corps, Commander Soji Ganzallo, stated that the arrest was made at about 0800hrs after the agency received a distress call that, one Olukayode Joshua, a 50-year-old parent who resides at Akinbo Phase 2, Opposite Ola Fatia House, Olambe in Ifo Local Government Area of the State has allegedly had canal knowledge with his 14 years old biological daughter.

Gonzalo noted that having heard about the dissatisfying and inhumane incident, instructed the Divisional Officer of the Corps, SC Akeem Olaiya in charge of Oke-Aro/Olambe to apprehend the suspect to serve as a lesson to others who indulge in such a barbaric lifestyle.

He further revealed that the Agbado Area Commander of the Corps, ACC Mathew mobilized his men to the scene to fully protect the alleged rapist against jungle justice.

On investigation, the suspect confessed to the crime and pleaded for mercy after realizing that there is nowhere to hide his secret deal with his biological daughter.

‘It is so unfortunate that, in the course of our investigation, the victim revealed to our officers that her father has been using drugs on her for a very long time to seduce her and that she only noticed a whitish discharge from her private part only today” Gonzalo said.

The 50-year-old suspect on interrogation, pleaded guilty to the crime, saying it was his first time doing such with his daughter, and that he has never used any drugs on her.

The suspect and the victim were thereafter handed over to the Ajuwon Police Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and prosecution.
