While Three Soldiers, lost their lives in Anambra in another attack by unknown gunmen.

There was panic on Wednesday the 29th of September in Enugu as un identified gunmen, attacked an joint operations team checkpoint at Obeagu-Amodu Road in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.

An eye witness told National Detective Magazine that the hoodlums took the team in a surprise attack surprise as they stormed the checkpoint in two Lexus SUVs and one Toyota Sienna around 7:25 a.m.
The unmasked gunmen reportedly opened fire on the combined team of Police and military personnel at the check point.

Our source further confirmed that heavily armed gunmen, engaged the Joint Operations Team in a heavy shooting, thus inflicted mortal injuries to two officers, who died in the course of the attack.

CSP Daniel Ndukwe, the Enugu State Police Command Spokesman, who confirmed the incident, said: “There was an attack on a Joint Operation Team checkpoint at Amodu in Nkanu West LGA, in the morning hours of today (yesterday).
“However, I await full briefing on the incident due to ongoing intense manhunt of the masked assailants, most of whom escaped the scene of the incident with fatal gunshot injuries, after the gun duel with the team. Further development will be communicated.”
In another report from Anambra, three soldiers were killed by the rampage gunmen in another attack.
This worrisome developments, has unleashed fear amongst the citizens of the two states in the South East of Nigeria.
A social commentator who declined to disclose his identity, expressed sadness over the callous and wicked acts of Criminality unleashed in the two states, he said the citizen must act now, to support security agencies in fishing out the perpetrator of this wickedness against humanity.
He consoled the Nigerian Army and the police authorities for the losses of their personnel.
The anonymous speaker also extended his condolences go families of the affected officers.
