The National Agency For The Prohibition Of Trafficking In Persons.(NAPTIP), have issued an advisory to guide vulnerable persons at the risk falling victim to the deceits of human traffickers across the country.
The advisory which emanated from the its public relations department read thus:

“When someone tells you “I want to help you”, take you abroad for the opportunity of a better life but don’t tell anyone”. Ask yourself, if it is a good thing, why shouldn’t I share the good news? RUN!!!!!!!
. When they say we need to “just swear one small oath in a shrine or record a nude video of yourself and share with the person about to “help” you……RUN!
If you are promised a good life abroad and you find yourself on a bus going through Seme border or Jibiya border in Katsina, my people that abroad don get “K-Leg”….abeg RUN!
If a one-way ticket is purchased for you with the promise of a job or scholarship….that is a redflag⛳️, RUN!
Where you find yourself being passed along to different handlers who are supposed to “help” you, you are probably been sold…..RUN!
If you arrive at the destination country and your travel documents are taken from you and your phone impounded, just know say e don be! look for the safest escape route and RUN!
Very important!!📢📢 before you travel, share your plans with your family, call them when you arrive at your destination, share the geo location with them. If they don’t hear from you, they will know something is wrong and seek for help.
Most times, Young girls and women are trafficked for sexual exploitation and forced labor and young boys and men are trafficked for forced labour and organ trafficking.📢📢📢 Be vigilant!
Be circumspect! Be discerning! Ask questions! Do your research! A free lunch is no lunch! If it is free, you are probably the product!”
In the advisory NAPTIP, urged Nigerians to join in disseminating the message through every available media to this educate oneself and also educate others on the evil of this anti social act.
